Privacy Policy

What personal data we collect, why, who processes it for us, and your rights.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Iaccarino Luigi (sole proprietorship, trading as Around Sorrento Coast), Strada Statale 16 bis Mare snc, 65010 Spoltore (PE), Italy, VAT IT08415101214. For anything about your data, write to aroundsorrentocoast@gmail.com.

What data we collect

We only collect what you send us and what is needed to run the site and the service.

  • Online booking: name, email, phone, date, pick-up time and place, drop-off, flight or train number, number of guests and any notes you add.
  • Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive the amount, your name, email and the status of the payment; we never see your full card number.
  • WhatsApp, email and phone: your number or address, your name and what you write to us.
  • Visit statistics: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views in aggregate, without cookies and without identifying you.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

We use your data only for these purposes:

  • To answer your request, prepare a quote and carry out the transfer you book: steps before a contract and the contract itself (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To issue receipts and invoices and keep accounting records: legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)).
  • To keep the site and the booking system secure and to defend our rights in a dispute: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)).

Do you have to give it to us?

Booking details are needed to book: without a name, an email and a pick-up time we cannot hold a slot for you. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or make automated decisions about you.

Who processes it for us

Only these providers, each for its own task:

  • Cloudflare (hosting of the site and of the booking database, visit statistics).
  • Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland (card payments and refunds).
  • Google (the business email and calendar where your booking is recorded so the driver has it).
  • Resend (the email that tells us a new booking was paid).
  • WhatsApp (Meta), only if you write to us there; WhatsApp handles your messages under its own privacy policy.

Transfers outside the EU

Some of these providers are based in the United States or may process data there. In those cases the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep each kind of data only as long as needed:

  • A booking request that is not paid is released after 20 minutes and deleted within 10 days.
  • Paid bookings, receipts and invoices: 10 years, as Italian accounting law requires (Civil Code, art. 2220).
  • Messages and quotes that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (articles 15–22) you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy in a common format. Write to aroundsorrentocoast@gmail.com; we answer within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Changes

If the way we handle data changes, we update this page and its date. Last updated: 17 October 2026.
