A private driver in Praiano is the easy way in and out of one of the quieter villages of the Amalfi Coast. Praiano lies between Positano and Amalfi and faces west, towards Positano and Capri, which is why its sunsets are known along the coast. There is no train and the SITA buses along the coast road are crowded in summer.

Where the car stops
Stops on the coast road are short because the road is narrow: the driver stops where it is safe and helps you with the bags to your entrance. Some houses in Praiano are reached by long flights of steps; tell us in advance so we can plan the drop-off.
Good to know
- Positano is about 20 minutes away and Amalfi about 30 minutes in the other direction, in normal traffic.
- The Path of the Gods starts at Bomerano, in the hills above Praiano: we can drop you at the trailhead and collect you in Positano.
- Marina di Praia, the small beach below the village, is reached on foot from the coast road.
