Up the hill to Ravello with your bags in the car, and back down to the coast, Naples or Rome when you leave.
A private driver in Ravello saves you the steepest part of the trip. Ravello sits about 350 metres above the sea, on the hill behind Amalfi and Atrani. The road up from the coast is narrow and winding, the town centre is closed to traffic and the SITA bus from Amalfi is often full in summer. With a driver you go from the airport, the station or your previous hotel straight up to Ravello.
From Naples the drive takes about 80 to 120 minutes. Online, the transfer from Naples to Amalfi or Ravello costs €180 for 1–2 guests. In summer the Ravello Festival holds concerts in the gardens of Villa Rufolo: if you stay on the coast or in Sorrento, we can drive you up before the concert and back to your hotel afterwards.

Where the car stops
Cars stop just below Piazza Duomo, near the tunnel where the buses stop; the square is a two-minute walk from there. Villa Rufolo opens onto the square, and Villa Cimbrone is about a 15-minute walk along pedestrian lanes. For hotels outside the pedestrian centre, the car stops at the door.
Good to know
- Amalfi is about 20 minutes down the hill; Positano about 40 to 50 minutes along the coast in normal traffic.
- On concert nights, tell us the end time printed on your ticket: the driver waits near the square.
- If your hotel is in the centre, pack so that you can carry the bags for the last few minutes on foot.
