In normal traffic the drive takes about 60 to 80 minutes, first on the motorway past Vesuvius and then along the Sorrento coast road, with the bay opening up below you as you get closer.
Luggage is part of the plan, not a problem. Tell us how many people are travelling and how many suitcases, pushchairs, golf bags or diving bags you have, and the vehicle is arranged around that. Flights into Naples are often late, especially in summer.
