More details

A Sorrento to Positano private transfer is the easy way to change hotels between the two towns or to spend a day in Positano without the bus queue. The driver collects you at your hotel in Sorrento, Sant’Agnello, Piano or Massa Lubrense and drives over the ridge of the peninsula and down onto the Amalfi Coast road. In normal traffic it takes about 35 to 60 minutes, and the first view of Positano from the road is one of the best on the whole coast.

If you are moving hotels, luggage is the main reason to book a car. The SITA bus is often full in summer and the ferry leaves you on the beach with stairs to climb. With a private transfer your bags go in the boot at one door and come out at the next. Tell us how many suitcases you have and whether you need child seats or boosters, which are available on request.

Positano is built on a cliff, and the main road loops through the upper part of the village. The driver takes you as close to your hotel as cars are allowed and helps with the bags. For hotels reached only by stairways, many properties can arrange a porter, so it is worth asking them in advance.

Going for the day? The driver can drop you in the upper part of town so you walk downhill to the beach, and collect you later at an agreed time. Many guests also turn this short transfer into a half-day on the coast with a stop at a viewpoint, or continue to Praiano or Amalfi before heading back. Just tell us what you have in mind when you write.
